Short version: the CLI is free and open under its MIT licence, the hosted service is provided as-is during alpha, you are responsible for what you publish, and a passport is organised evidence rather than a guarantee.
Mantyl consists of a command-line tool you run locally and a hosting service at mantyl.dev where passports you explicitly publish are stored and displayed. The service is operated from the United Kingdom and is currently in alpha, which means features may change, and availability is not guaranteed.
A published passport is your content. By publishing you confirm you have the right to share it, including anything it quotes from your repository or agent history, and you grant us the right to host and display it until you remove it. You are responsible for reviewing a passport before publishing, including for secrets the automatic redaction may not have caught. We may remove hosted content that is unlawful, deceptive or abusive.
A passport organises evidence about a software project. It is not a certification, a security audit, a code review or a warranty of fitness, and Mantyl accepts no liability for decisions made on the basis of one. Statuses in the truth model describe how a statement was checked, not a promise that the software is good.
Do not use the service to distribute malware, to publish content you have no right to share, to misrepresent verification results, or to probe or disrupt the service. The verification sandbox may not be used to run workloads unrelated to verifying a project.
The service is provided as-is without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
